Hollywood Regency gradually entered homes across America.

The style is really is East (Orient) meets West (Gold Cost) with hits of vibrant color, neoclassic details with a whimsical mix of scale – tufted sofas and modern Greek and Egyptian influenced fretwork, patterns and furniture silhouettes!

Another designers who pioneered this form of design was Dorothy Draper. Her design aesthetics embodied freshened dark and tired period styles with fresh coats of white paint, black lacquer, and loads of over-sized botanical prints and stripes. Bold and often feminine color schemes modernized baroque and regency styles, softening and simplifying them to create a unique, Americanized version of traditional period style.
